The GHS golf season is underway and the Lady Bulldogs face a busy late-week schedule when they host Lawson and Hamilton at Daviess County Country Club on Thursday, and travel to Plattsburg for tournament play on Friday.
Mattie Burge finished runnerup on Tuesday in a three-team meet at Albany. Her round of 55 helped put the Lady Bulldogs one stroke behind the host team’s score of 250. Kecia Lewis and Kaley Cox shot 57 and 69, respectively, for Gallatin.
The Lady Bulldogs combined for a team score of 294 in their Aug. 25 opener. Bailey Morrison and Burge led the way for Gallatin with rounds of 63 and 65, respectively. Burge finished runnerup in a trip to Lawson by shooting a round of 49.
The annual Gallatin Tournament will be held next Tuesday at DCCC.
