Funeral service for Nellie Osborn wase held Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the First Baptist Church, Trenton. Burial was in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany. Nellie Mae Osborn, 86, Chillicothe, formerly of Trenton, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at the Baptist Home in Chillicothe.
She was born April 5, 1924, in Harrison County, Mo., the daughter of Charley Henry and Edith (Wilson) Coates. On June 1, 1941, she married Rev. Jean Osborn. He survives at the home.
Nellie was the church secretary at the First Baptist Church of Fayette, for several years and retired as the secretary of the North Grand River Baptist Association. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Trenton.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Osborn; and daughter-in-law, Roberta Ann Osborn.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a daughter, Marilyn Morrow, Marshall, Mo.; brother, Lewis Coates, Bethany, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
