The Missouri Sheriffs’ Association, by unanimous vote at their annual meeting on Aug. 9, 2010, have issued a press release in which they express full support of the sheriffs in states which border Mexico in their efforts to enforce immigration laws of their respective states and of the United States of America.

In the press release, the association went on to say that they realize that the failure of the federal government to enforce immigration laws has forced states like Arizona to pass their own legislation to accomplish the goal. The Missouri Sheriff’s Association applauds those states.
The press release states that the increased activity at the border has increased the danger to law enforcement and the citizens they protect. The association went on to say that they applaud the efforts of law enforcement there.
