Dennis Croy
Dennis Croy will be superintendent at Gallatin. Croy will be a familiar face to the faculty, staff and alumni at GHS as he served 13 years as the school’s agricultural instructor. Mr. Croy has been employed the past four years at Tri-County R-7 High School in Jamesport. He served there one year as high school principal and three years as superintendent. He submitted his resignation to the Tri-County school board at their Feb. 11 board meeting.
Born and raised in Daviess County, Croy attended high school at Jameson.
He went to college at Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville where he obtained a double major in agricultural education and animal science. He received his master’s degree in educational leadership from NWMSU in 2006 and an educational specialist degree from Williams Woods University in 2007.
Croy taught ag at Keytesville for eight years prior to coming to GHS.
He lives in Gallatin with his wife Sheri, a third grade teacher at Searcy Elementary. They have been married for 25 years and have two children, both graduates of Gallatin R-5. Erin is a graduate of NWMSU and Kyle is currently attending North Central Missouri College at Trenton. @center = Abbey Wilson
Abbey Wilson will teach first grade at Gallatin. Abbey born and raised in Gallatin and graduated from Gallatin High School. She received her degree in elementary education from Graceland University. She student taught first grade at Gallatin. She and her husband Jason have three children, Jacob, 9, Libby, 6, and Jaden, 4.
Terrolyn Millsap
Terrolyn Millsap will be the school nurse at Gallatin. She was born and raised in Gilman City and graduated from high school there. She received her nursing degree from North Central Missouri College. She previously worked as a nurse at Watkins Mill Park Camp School and the Winston school. Her children are Ashley, 18, Abbey, 11, Anna, 100 and Alley, 8.
Josh Gannan
Josh Gannan will be the I.S.S. teacher at Gallatin. He was born in Maryville and raised in Chillicothe. He graduated from high school at Chillicothe and received his degree in physical education fro Northwest Missouri State University. He was a teacher’s aide at Braymer last year.
Jon Lawinger
Jon Lawinger will teach high school English at Gallatin. He was born and raised around Madison and Milwaukee in Wisconsin. He graduated from Pius XI High School in Milwaukee. He received his degree in English and English education. He went to college and graduate school at Truman State University in Kirksville. He student taught at Kirksville High School. He and his wife Elizabeth have one son, Elijah, 15 months.
