The following cases were heard by Judge Daniel Chadwick on Aug. 11:

Jacob L. Smith plead guilty to trespassing first degree, class B misdemeanor, amended from felony sexual misconduct, on a plea agreement. The imposition of sentence was suspended and he was placed on two years probation.

Ron Silkwood plead guilty to possession of controlled substance, class C felony, based on a plea agreement. The sentence assessment report was waived by the defendant, and he received a sentence of three years in the Department of Corrections, with credit for time served.

Russell J. Landes plead guilty to driving while intoxicated, class D felony, based on a plea agreement. The sentence assessment report was waived. Landes was sentenced to four years, execution of sentence suspended. He was placed on five years probation, and received 10 days shock time with credit for time served.

Brian Keith Coombs Jr. plead guilty to trespassing first degree and stealing, class A misdemeanor, based on a plea agreement. Imposition of sentence was suspended, and the defendant received two years probation, nine days of shock time with credit for time served.

On a plea agreement, Arthur Alvin Ormsby plead guilty to possession of marijuana, class A misdemeanor, amended from a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. Two felony charges, possession with intent to distribute and possession of controlled substance, were dismissed. He received six days in jail with credit for time served.

In Kelly M. Hughes vs. Jessica M. Hughes, a change of judge was granted, and Judge Jason Kanoy was assigned to the case.

BTC Bank vs. Debbie Loxterman was dismissed by the court with prejudice.

A wrongful death suit, Michael Ford et al vs. Omar W. Miller, was dismissed without prejudice on Aug. 11.

Civil cases filed: GMAC Mortgage LLC vs. Robert Reed, quiet title. Certificates of lien, DOR, taxes were filed against Beverly A. Coulston, and Manuel L. And Paulette M. Garcia by the State of Missouri.

Associate Division

Defendants found guilty in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County are listed below with the offense and fine assessed. Additionally court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $68.50 for moving traffic violations and $116.50 in most criminal cases. Judge Daren L. Adkins presided over the following cases:

Brianna Tompkins, Gallatin, property damage, suspended imposition of sentence, two years probation, 60 hours community service.

Angel Ruch, Jamesport, probation violation on original charge of possession of marijuana, probation revoked, 20 days jail. On three probation violations for endangering the welfare of a child, probation was revoked. She received a sentence of 20 days on each violation, sentences to run consecutively.

Jason M. Foster, Des Moines, Iowa, driving while intoxicated, five days jail, $25 fine; no valid license, two days jail, $25 fine; failure to drive in right lane, one day jail, $25 fine.

Angela G. Creson, Breckenridge, fishing without permit, $21.

William C. Fleming, Gladstone, possession of drug paraphernalia, $150.

Bernard G. Dyson, Lexington, Ky., probation violation on original charge of failure to register as sex offender, probation revoked, 60 days jail.

Genola E. Page, Plattsburg, possession of marijuana, 48 hours jail, board bill paid by defendant; possession of paraphernalia, $150.

Allena R. Karim, Kansas City, driving while revoked amended to no valid license, $150.

Brett F. Olsen, Winston, violated probation on each of the following original charges: two counts of driving while revoked, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of paraphernalia, and resisting arrest. Probation was revoked on each count, and he was sentenced to one year jail on each count, sentences to run consecutively.

Delbert W. Schmeiser, Cameron, probation violation on original charge of passing bad checks, probation revoked, 90 days jail.

County Commission

James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, reported that they will be working in Harrison Township on a low water crossing this week.

Bills were audited and paid.

Greg Brown, Benton Township, contacted the commission regarding brush problems in that township. The landowner will be contacted to remove the brush.

The commission was contacted concerning a bridge on Grate Avenue in Grand River Township needing repairs. James Lewis was contacted to make repairs.

The commission inspected the building at 609 South Main, finding a leak in the roof. The contractor will be contacted.

Roads in Jackson, Harrison and Jefferson townships were inspected by the Commission, in the afternoon.
