A Smithville man received serious injuries while driving a 2010 Polaris on private property in a field within the city limits of Pattonsburg. The accident happened at about 8:55 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, William Thompson, 36, Smithville, was southbound on private property in a field when he attempted to make a right turn. The ATV overturned and Thompson was ejected. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its wheels facing north.
Thompson was taken by NTA Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital.
The Polaris had minor damage.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. A.K. Griffin, assisted by Trp. J.E. Peabody and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
