A Hamilton woman was fatally injured in an accident that happened at about 9:25 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, in Caldwell County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tegan Edmundson, 24, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Bradley Corbin, 25, Hamilton. Corbin was southbound on Pleasant Ridge Road, six miles southeast of Hamilton when Edmundson jumped out of the passenger side door and was run over by the vehicle, a 2003 Dodge 2500 pickup.

Edmundson was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Dana Brown.

Due to the unusual circumstances of the accident, the Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control continues to investigate the accident; however, no traffic charges will be filed by the highway patrol.

The accident was investigated by Trp. J.R. Zach, assisted by by Cpl. J.P. Angle, D/DCC Sgt. R.L. Phillips, D/DCC Sgt. D.L. Merrill, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department and Caldwell County EMS.
