"Our mission is to provide information and resources that enable clients to receive the benefits and services they need and are entitled to," Nelson said.

Grab bags will be given to all in attendance, along with chances to win free door prizes. Cake will be provided for the center after the lunch meal, which is served daily at the Pattonsburg Center.

Nelson is the Aging and Disability Resource Consultant for Daviess, Grundy, Caldwell and Livingston Counties. The home office is in Gallatin. She will available on the second Monday of the month at the Pattonsburg Senior Center.

She will assist seniors and/or their care-givers on a one-to-one basis with application procedures, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, Social Security, veterans benefits, in-home care, and long term care options. There is no charge for the service, but contributions help provide more services to be offered through the center.
