A Hamilton woman received moderate injures in an accident at about 10:10 a.m. on July 29, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Luchen Reith, 72, Hamilton, was southbound on Hwy. 13 when her 2009 Ford traveled off of the west side of the roadway. The vehicle continued for some time in a field, returned to the roadway, and then went off of the east side of Hwy. 13. The car struck a tree head on and came to rest off of the east side of Hwy. 13.

Reith was taken by Gallatin Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing her seat belt.

The Ford was totaled.

The accident was investigated by Trp. A.J. Webb, assisted by Cpl. M. Belshe and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

Darcie Lukehart, 25, Gallatin, received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that happened at 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 1, in Livingston County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lukehart was northbound on Livingston County Road 237 four miles north of Chillicothe. Her 2001 Lincoln traveled off the west side of the roadway, striking several trees.

Lukehart, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe by Chillicothe Ambulance Service.

The Lincoln received extensive damage.

The accident was investigate by Sgt. S.P. Skoglund, assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

A state patrol car driven by Mark Ott, 42, Cameron, received minor damage in an accident at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

Ott was southbound on Hwy. 69 about 10 miles south of Pattonsburg. He received a report of a C&I driver on I-35. He turned the 2009 Ford Crown Victoria into a field entrance to turn around. He then backed onto the northbound shoulder and didn’t see a sign post that was bent over and obscured by tall grass. He struck the post on top of the trunk lid. The estimated damage was under $500 to the trunk.
