At approximately 4:30 p.m. on July 19, a 2005 GMC pickup caught on fire as it was traveling west on Missouri Highway 6 near Gallatin

Upon realizing that smoke was coming from the vehicle, driver James Jason Bibbix, Lawson, pulled the vehicle onto the right shoulder and observed flames coming from under the hood. Franklin Fulenwider of Independence was a passenger in the truck.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s office and the Gallatin Fire Protection District responded to the fire, which was extinguished immediately. The entire front end of the vehicle appeared to be a total loss.
