On July 1 the Gallatin Police Department arrested 35-year-old Angelia N. Wood of Gallatin on three counts of supplying alcohol to a person under 21 years of age.
This arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Gallatin Police after receiving complaints that Ms. Wood had purchased alcohol and had provided the alcohol to minors at her residence in Gallatin.
Ms. Wood was issued a summons and released pending her court date.
On July 8 the Gallatin Police Department recovered a 1998 Honda All Terrain Vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Franklin County, Kan. Officers attempted to stop the ATV after observing it driving carelessly in a parking lot and on South Main Street.
The ATV evaded officers but was located a short time later at a residence on James Road in Gallatin. The ATV was impounded and the vehicle identification number indicated that it had been reported stolen in Kansas.
During the investigation that followed several subjects were interviewed and a suspect in the case was identified.
The Gallatin Police Department is working with the Franklin County, Kansas, Sheriff’s Office in an effort to close this case. Local charges are also pending.
