Major Dale Stepp Post 31, American Legion in Trenton will hold a community appreciation open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 17 at Five Points in Trenton.

Hot dogs, cold drinks and coffee will be served.
An additional feature, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be a veteran benefits workshop in which applications for benefits for veterans and their families will be processed. Applicants are reminded to bring a copy of their discharge papers.
Also a reminder that while service officers do help and guide, ONLY the Department of Veteran Affairs can rule on benefits received. However in case of an adverse ruling, Service Officers do provide appeals service.
