A Gilman City teenager received minor injuries when she was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident that happened at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 5, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cheyenne Clutter, 18, Gilman City, failed to yield to Paul J. Burnett, 37, Coffey, on Route B at 290th Street, five miles east of Coffey. Clutter’s southbound 1995 Dodge Ram truck struck the front of Burnett’s eastbound 2002 Chevrolet, causing it to travel off of the right side of the roadway and overturn. The Dodge pickup came to rest in the roadway facing southwest.

Sierra T. Marschel, 18, Gilman City, an occupant in the Clutter vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital.

The accident was investigated by Trp. J. E. Peabody, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
