Upward Bound students from North Central Missouri College toured the Rosemary Hill Tree Farm west of Trenton during a trip planned by the Trenton Master Gardeners.

The tree farm is owned by Bill and Susie Bear. The Bears took the students for a tour of their tree farm and explained the process of planting, maintenance, and harvesting the trees. Bill Bear is pictured on the right and Susie Bear, co-owner is fourth from the right. The Upward Bound program is funded directly by the U.S. Department of Education. The program holds a six-week summer residential program when its 50 participants (high school students from Chillicothe, Gallatin, Grundy R-5, Hamilton, Tri-County, and Trenton) live on NCMC campus and take courses to prepare them for their upcoming school year.
