New board member Robert Sweiger was sworn in during the regular meeting of the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen held May 12.
City Clerk Karen Shepherd informed the council that she is having computer problems. One computer has already crashed and is being worked on to try to recover and save its files. The new upgrades which have to be done for the payroll program are not compatible with the windows program that she currently has. The board motioned to upgrade to a new computer.
Greg Brown and Alex Sperry were present representing the Chamber of Commerce. They asked if the council would have any objections to them taking over the Chucky Grave memorial at the pond. The council had no objection. They also talked about getting a sound system at the business buildings on Central Avenue. They are still looking at options and financing. They are also going to have a fun day with several events taking place on June 26. The Lions Club is having the tractor pull that same night.
The alumni has asked for a donation for the May 29 banquet. The board agreed to donate $50.
Signature cards at BTC Bank in Pattonsburg and Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri in Gallatin will need to be changed. Tracy Parton’s name needs to be taken off and Robert Sweiger’s name needs to be put on.
Employee reviews will be taken up in July.
