Memorial services for Patricia Krout will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, at the First Christian Church in Gallatin. Inurnment will be at a later date. Arrangements are by McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.
Patricia L. (Pat) Krout of Gallatin passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010, at the North Kansas City Hospital.
Pat was born Sept. 14, 1933, to Edward and Doris (Misler) Smith in Cameron.
As a child Pat’s parents followed the harvest and their work took them all over the Midwest.
Pat was united in marriage to Arthur (Butch) Krout in Copperas Cove, Texas, where they made their home. After Butch was discharged from the military he worked construction. The couple traveled all over the southern United States.
Pat became a CNA, a profession she was dedicated to for 35 years. She later became director of activities.
In 1995 Pat and Butch moved to a farm east of Gallatin.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings and her daughter Betsy.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Butch of the home; two sons, Jimmy Dale Guthrie of Washington and Ronnie Brian Krout of Pennsylvania; one daughter, Cheryl Clark of Illinois; one brother, Jerry Smith of Orrick; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
