I would like to personally recognize the Gallatin Lions Club members for the many years of placing the flags around the square.
The boy scouts’ display on the courthouse lawn is nice, but we must remember which group is responsible for initiating the original display several decades ago. I believe that the Lions Club was wrongfully omitted from last week’s front page article celebrating Flag Day and would like to commend them for their many years of patriotism.
