The Missouri Sheriffs’ Association will hold its annual "Aim for the Stars" 50 Bird Derby shoot on June 12 at the Trenton City Trap and Skeet Range in Trenton. Proceeds go to the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association Fallen Star Benevolent Fund. This fund provides needed support and financial assistance to the spouses, and/or minor children of all county sheriff officers’ or employees’ families who have lost their lives while in performance of their duty. It does not cover deaths from natural causes, illnesses or non-work related injuries.

Registration is $30 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The Shoot begins at 9 a.m. Shooters may purchase ammo at the range. Walk-ins are welcome.

Trophies will be awarded for first through third overall; first youth; and first female.

Raffle tickets are available for a chance to win a Benelli Vinci semi-automatic hunting shotgun valued at $1,400. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25. The drawing is the day of the shoot. You must be 21 to participate and you need not be present to win. Taxes are the winner’s responsibility.
