Nearly 100 high school graduates will converge on the campus of North Central Missouri College in Trenton for the Annual Lions District 26-M4 All-Star Basketball Classic this weekend.

Athletes and coaches from 22 counties will check in this Friday at the Ketcham Center to meet their teammates, practice and attend the Lions All-Star awards banquet that evening. Saturday’s slate of eight games begins at 9 a.m. and continues throughout the day until championship games at 6 (girls) and 7:30 p.m. (boys).
The Lions All-Star Basketball Classic is sponsored by Lions Clubs of District 26-M4 and hosted for the second straight year at NCMC. All proceeds from the event go toward scholarships to students under the auspices of Lions Clubs of the district.
Local players include Gallatin’s Colton Selby (White Team), Winston’s Bryan Lee (Gold Team), Gallatin’s Carly Boyd (Black Team), Ashley Beck (White Team), Jamie Brinnen (White Team) and Ashley Owens (Gold Team) and Winston’s Keshia Youtsey (White Team).
Saturday’s schedule of games, leading up to the championships, includes: 9 a.m. Girls Gold vs. Purple, 10:30 a.m. Girls Black vs. White, Noon Boys Gold vs. Purple, 1:30 p.m. Boys Black vs. White, 3 p.m. Girls Consolation, 4:30 p.m. Boys Consolation.
