Grand River Storm 12-Under Girls Fastpitch Softball Team went 3-0 to sweep the Trenton Memorial Day Round Robin. In Monday’s first game Storm defeated Brookfield Blues 12-3. Kelly Warford was the Winning Pitcher with Matti Thomas getting the save in relief. The second game saw Storm defeat the Trenton Twisters 2-1 in extra innings. Renae Brice was the winning pitcher with relief help from Matti Thomas and Madison Hunsaker. The day’s last game saw a rematch with Trenton. The Storm girls rolled to a 15-2 victory. Kelly Warford was the winning pitcher with relief help from Matti Thomas, Renae Brice and Katie Warford. Storm’s record now stands at 10-1 on the year. They will next be in action at the Cowtown Showdown in Basehor Kansas, June 5-6.
