The first auditions for the Gallatin Theater League’s Children’s Summer Musical "Ransom of Red Chief" will be held at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, at Covel D. Searcy Elementary in the music room.

Daviess County students entering fifth through eighth grade in the fall of 2010 are encouraged to participate.
Tryouts will require students to sing a selected piece of music and read an excerpt from the play. Students will receive a calendar with practices dates and times listed. They will also receive a student/parent permission form which needs to be signed and returned by the first practice scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 1. There will be a second audition at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, at the Courter Theater in Gallatin, for any students unable to attend the first audition.
Funding for the 2010 Children’s Theater has been provided in part through a grant by the Davis-Aulgur Foundation.
This junior musical will be performed at the Courter Theater in Gallatin at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 16, and Saturday, July 17, and a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. on July 18. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this entertaining production and support our talented young performers.
