The Rev. Clyde and Mildred Hulet of McFall will celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary on May 13, 2010. They were married on that date in 1944 at Kennsington Baptist Church in Kansas City.

Clyde is a veteran of World War II having served in the 50th Armored Infantry Divistion, 3rd Army in Germany. After being discharged Clyde attended NWMSC in Maryville, receiving a BA in industrial arts.

Except for one half school year in St. Joseph he taught 33 years at the South Harrison School District teaching industrial arts/drafting and carpentry class at the VoTech until retiring. He also was a Christian School AD for two years at the Word of Life Christian School in Cameron, after retiring from SHHS.

Clyde has been an ordained minister since 1949 and was a pastor at Methodist Churches in Northwest Missouri. He is currently pastor of Word of Life Christian Fellowship in Pattonsburg. Mildred was employed at White Auto Lincoln Sales for 23 years and has worked on the family farm along with being an active part of the Word of Life Church ministry as the Pastor’s wife.

Their children are Judy Ruff, Centrailia; Meredith (Stan) Doty of McFall; son-in-law Gene Read Plattsburg. Their oldest daughter Marilyn Read is deceased.

The couple have seven grandchildren, Ted Read and family of Germany; Christina (Brandt) Adkins and family of North Carolina; Sarah Read and family of Kansas City; Angela (Scott) Crowder and family of Centrailia; Heather (Brent) Jones and family of McFall; Christopher Doty of Kansas City; and Megan (Jeffrey) Epperly and family of Grandview. The couple have 12 great-grandchildren.
