Brock Griffin of Jameson and Leonard Berryhill of Talala, Okla., won the World Series Roping held Feb. 28 at the Bridle Creek Arena at Sperry, Okla. They won the cash prize of $6,480 and monogrammed jackets.

Brock, header, and Leonard, heeler, won first out of 54 ropers with a time of 35.99 on four head of steers. Brock and Leonard have earned a spot in the World Series Final to be held at Southpoint Equestrian Center Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in December.

They will compete next at the Lazy E Arena at Guthrie, Okla., on May 28.

Brock will be training and showing rope horses at the Harrison Ranch in Salpapa, Okla., as of May 1 for Elsworth and Kathy Harrison. The ranch is home of American Quarter Horse Association Super Horse Stallion, Oklahoma State University’s Pistol Pete.
