However, it has been only recently that the Department of Defense has begun to cooperate with the Department of Veterans Affairs in notifying discharged service men and women of what these benefits may be. Hence, there are many veterans who have no knowledge of these benefits.
Therefore, the National Veterans Organizations have established groups of service officers whose duty is to consult with veterans how to obtain these well earned benefits. Veterans NEED NOT be a member of ANY veterans organization to receive guidance from any service officer.
Such a workshop is scheduled for Post 919 VFW located at 919 Washington Street in Trenton. The sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 30. Since three well versed service officers are scheduled to attend, waiting time should be at a minimum.
Biscuits and gravy will be served.
