On April 9, the Gallatin Bulldog Pride Band competed at State Band Contest at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. The Gallatin Bulldog Pride Band received a I Rating. This is the sixth I Rating in row that they have successfully achieved at State Band festival.

The rating was achieved by playing their two prepared pieces and also performing sight reading in front of four judges. The judges give a score between I-V, I being the highest rating and V being the lowest rating. There were 27 bands in attendance. Four bands received a I rating, nine bands received a II rating, eleven bands received a III rating, and three bands received a IV rating.
