Gallatin varsity golfers shot a pair of 199 team scores in recent competition. Monday’s 199 was good enough for second place in the quad tournament held in Albany.

Wes Cole and Jim Willett shot a pair of 49 scores at Albany. Terrill Wood added a round of 50 and Logan Henderson shot 51. Myrick McLey carded a 68 for the Bulldogs, followed by Brad Berten 67 and Daniel Jones 68.

South Harrison golfers combined for a 178. Albany shot 226 and Princeton 228.

The Bulldogs opened their home schedule last Wednesday against South Harrison and Maysville. Gallatin’s 199 trailed both as South Harrison combined for 174 and Maysville shot 186.

Dylan Holloway of South Harrison took the medalist honor with a 39. Tied for runnerup with a 43 were South Harrison’s Garrett Bennett and Cameron Weddle, and Maysville’s Seth Buhman.

Gallatin scores included: Wood 46, Cole 47, Logan Henderson 52, Willett 54, Berten 57 and McLey 64.

The Bulldogs host Hamilton and Princeton on Thursday, and welcome Lathrop, Princeton and Plattsburg to Daviess County Country Club next Tuesday.
