The Bulldogs, led by Jim Willett’s runnerup score of 48, combined for a total of 212. Terrill Wood shot 51, Wesley Cole carded a 58 and Logan Henderson added 56 for the varsity total.

Myrick McLey and Brad Berten each opened the season with rounds of 63 for Gallatin. Daniel Jones also shot a 72.

Maysville’s Mike Strong shot a low score of 45.

"We didn’t play too badly for the first time out," said Coach Barron Gann, "considering the weather conditions and condition of the course."

The Bulldogs are in action today (Wednesday), at Daviess County Country Club, against Maysville and South Harrison.
