Gallatin’s Lady Bulldogs took a three-game losing streak into Monday’s district tipoff following a 53-37 loss to Lathrop on Friday in their final regular season and home contest.

Ashley Owens led Gallatin with 13 points and five steals. Jamie Brinnen added eight points to go with 12 rebounds and several blocked shots. Ashley Beck scored eight points and dished out five assists. Savannah Butcher registered six points and six rebounds for Gallatin.
A two-minute stretch in the third quarter proved to be Gallatin’s undoing last Thursday night as Gallatin fell to Stanberry, 45-39, in their final Grand River Conference game.
Ashley Beck nailed a three-pointer to pull Gallatin to within 25-23, but a 7-0 Stanberry surge built a nine-point cushion for the visitors and had the red and black Lady Bulldogs pulling uphill throughout the fourth quarter.
Gallatin cut a 12-point deficit to two by the middle of the final period but Stanberry was able to nail down a win despite no field goals in the final three minutes of action. Butcher converted both ends of a two-shot foul with 39 seconds left but Stanberry went to the line and sank four-of-four in the closing moments.
Beck led Gallatin, which finished 3-6 in league play, with 11 points. Brinnen added nine, Owens and Butcher each chipped in seven.
