Funeral services for Bernice Crosswhite will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, at Bram-Turner Funeral Home in Maysville with burial in Fairport Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may come by the funeral home after 10 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community of Christ Church of Maysville or of the donor’s choice in care of Bram-Turner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Maysville, MO 64469.

Bernice Crosswhite, 92, Maysville, died March 1, 2010, at Sunset Home in Maysville.

Bernice, the daughter of William and Grace (Christy) Worden, was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Stewartsville. She graduated from Northwest Missouri Teachers College in Maryville and taught in rural DeKalb County schools until she married Marshall R. Crosswhite on May 4, 1941, in Kansas City. In 1950 she returned to teaching in Pattonsburg and taught there until her retirement in 1982.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall R. Crosswhite; and two brothers, Lorin and Donald Worden.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Reynolds and her friend John Eggleston Jr. of Cameron; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
