Sixty plungers raised $25,000 for Special Olympics athletes at the Third Annual Polar Bear Plunge held at Beach 1 at Lake Viking on Feb. 20.

The 2010 award for Golden Plungers went to The Little Entertainment of Bethany. Top fund-raiser was Jim Rash, $7,035. Polar Plunge 2010 was sponsored by Lake Viking Association and KKWK 100.1. The event was also proudly presented by local law enforcement as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run. This year’s presenting agencies were Crossroads Correctional Center of Cameron and Chillicothe Correctional Center. At least 200 people attended the event.
