Graveside services for Roberta Swalley were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Maryville. Arrangements were by Carson-Speaks Chapel.

Roberta Maxine Swalley, 80, Independence, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at home surrounded by her family.
Roberta was born June 25, 1929, in Barnard, to Fred and Ruby (Ridlon) Baker.
She worked for Hawthorne Café, Maibes Restaurant, and Walker’s Restaurant over her career in food service.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, George Swalley; three sisters, and six brothers.
Survivors include her children, Daryl Swalley and Connie Curtis; one brother, Jasper Frank Baker; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
