He submitted his resignation to the Tri-County school board at their Feb. 11 board meeting.

Born and raised in Daviess County, Mr. Croy attended high school at Jameson.

He went to college at Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville where he obtained a double major in agricultural education and animal science. He received his master’s degree in educational leadership from NWMSU in 2006 and an educational specialist degree from Williams Woods University in 2007.

Mr. Croy taught ag at Keytesville for eight years prior to coming to GHS.

He lives in Gallatin with his wife Sheri, a third grade teacher at Searcy Elementary. They have been married for 25 years and have two children, both graduates of Gallatin R-5. Erin is a graduate of NWMSU and Kyle is currently attending North Central Missouri College at Trenton.

"I’m certainly very excited about the opportunity to serve as superintendent at Gallatin," said Mr. Croy. "Even though finances are going to be tight, we have a chance to make real progress in several areas while preparing for the future and helping our students."
