The students fist met for food, fellowship and fun. The students constructed Valentine crafts and cards and then traveled on the bus to the center. The 27 Chi-Rho members along with five parent volunteers visited each resident, giving their Valentine greetings and spreading the love of the Lord. Chi-Rho’s next event to help the community is slated for Feb. 5 when the youth will give up their day off from school to deliver Meals on Wheels at the Active Aging Resource Center in Gallatin. The youth invite everyone to come and have lunch with them on that day as they will be staying for the afternoon to play games and visit with those at the center. The Chi Rho Youth Group is for students fourth through eighth grade and sponsored in part by the First Christian Church under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Russ Hamilton. All students fourth through eighth grade are invited to join in the Christian fun. For more information contact the church att 633-3415 or youth leader Vera Nelson at 663-2801.
