Parents As Teachers break up winter by movin’ and groovin’

Gallatin Parents As Teachers held a group meeting recently by "Movin’ and Groovin’" at the Searcy Elementary school. About 20 families, with between 45 and 50 children, attended. The children were active with hoola-hoops, bowling, wrestling, basketball, snow ball fights, balance beam, tumbling, jump rope and tunnel crawl. Some of the children are pictured playing ‘parachutes’. It was a time for the children to run and play since being cooped up all winter. The children, aged birth to five years old, had chocolate milk and animal crackers for a snack. They received a book as they left.
