GHS took 14 wrestlers and came home with two first place medals, three second place medals, four third place medals, four fourth place medals and one fifth place medal. The team had five wins by decision of a pin.
The Lathrop tournament was a tough day for most of the team. There were over 400 wrestlers and eight mats running for most of the day. The day was divided into two sessions, with ages 10 and under competing the first part of the day and ages 12 and over competing in the late afternoon.
GHS took three new wrestlers with them who wrestled in the 14 and under division. Colton Trimble took second place. Anthony Esposito took fourth place. Harrison Pettit, after sustaining a shoulder injury in his second match of the day, also took fourth place.
In the 10 and under division, the first place winners with a medal and tee-shirt were Gage Wright and Eli Henke. Second place winners were Brinley Vandiver and Trenton Ishmael. Third place winners were Andon Allen, Koleby McClintick, Tayton Terry and Grady Rains. Fourth place winners were Jagger Gray and Klayton Lynch. The fifth place winner was Draven Wright.
The Gallatin USA Wrestling Club would like to express appreciation to all the family, friends, and fans who helped them in their successful Red Wheel fund raiser last week.
