Kenny was born Oct. 16, 1947 to Herschel and Edna (Phillips) Fales in Polo. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1965. Kenny immediately started working for the Milwaukee Railroad as a laborer on the signal crew. He was united in marriage to Jean Tracy, June 23, 1968 in Meadville. The couple made their home in Chillicothe where Kenny continued to work on the railroad. Kenny and Jean moved to Peoria, Ill., where he was employed at Kroger’s Food in the warehouse for a short period of time. The couple moved back to Chillicothe in 1969 and Kenny started working at Farmers Electric as a journeyman lineman, a career that spanned over 37 years. In 1973 Kenny and Jean moved to Gallatin where they started their family and became part of the community. Kenny had a heart of gold and was well known in the area for his caring way and compassion for the people he served. Due to failing health Kenny retired in 2004 from a job and a community that he was dedicated to. Even after retiring you could find Kenny sharing his knowledge whether it be giving driving directions or line instructions to fellow employees to help make their job easier and speed service to the people he so dearly cared about.
Kenny was a member of the First Christian Church in Gallatin, and a member of the Gallatin Masonic Lodge #106. He loved to hunt, fish and escape to the lake to spend time with his family & friends. Kenny was a long time volunteer of the Gallatin Fire Department, a member of the CB Club and the Missouri Jaycees. His family, especially his girls and his grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. Kenny was a kind and gentle man who made deep and lasting relationships. The love for his family, the generosity to his community, and his ability to see a persons needs and help in any way that he could will be greatly missed by those that knew him. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Mary White.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 41 years Jean of the home, daughters, Sheri Roach of Cameron, Shelley Fales of Kansas City, his grandchildren, Aubrey, Joseph and Kennedy Roach, and a host family and friends.
