Mrs. Garcia has worked with GHCAA for over six years in the housing development program as assistant and coordinator. She is a graduate of North Central Missouri College in Trenton, and William Woods University. Mary is the daughter of Linda Hendricks of Trenton and Allen Hendricks of Brookfield. She and her husband Michael, son of Dr. and Mrs. Carolyn Garcia of Trenton, have four children, Allison, Cody, Tony, and Jr.

The Green Hills Housing Development program is responsible for developing, planning, and directing housing ventures in the Green Hills Area in order to help alleviate the shortage of quality, safe, affordable housing for low-income individuals and families. Garcia is responsible for the management of over 110 existing housing units within the region. The Housing Development Director also serves as the agency facility manager and is responsible for overseeing maintenance on all agency properties and partnering with other agencies in order to make affordable housing more readily available.

The GHCAA program focuses its efforts on the working poor, families that are employed, but who need help finding safe and affordable housing in the area. The program also strives to build energy efficient housing that can be easily modified to accommodate handicapped individuals. Garcia takes pride in the fact that local suppliers and contractors are used on each project, and is as passionate about helping the community as a whole as she is about helping the families who live in them.
