Funeral services for Peggy Smith were held Saturday, Jan. 9, at the First Baptist Church, Gilman City. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant #1 Cemetery, Gilman City. Peggy S. Smith, 71, Gilman City, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at a Bethany hospital.

She was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Gilman City, the daughter of Jim Frank and Lucille (Harrison) Ward.

On June 5, 1956, she married Ronald Smith in Gilman City. He survives at the home.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany.

Other survivors include one son, Brett Smith, Eagleville; one daughter, Renee Terhune, Gilman City; one brother, Jim Newt Ward, Gilman City; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Lonna Rachelle Smith, son, Nathan Smith.
