Under the leadership of head coach Jesse Gray and his assistant coaches and parents, Gallatin USA braved the cold and took 17 wrestlers to compete for some gold.

Gallatin brought home five first, five second, five third, and two fourth place wins. The wrestlers grabbing first were Gabe Allen, Gage Wright, Jagger Gray, Eli Henke and Graydee Rains.

Wrestlers bringing home second place were Brinley Vandiver, Tayton Terry, Trenton Ishmael, Klayton Lynch and C.J. Richards.

Wrestlers toughening it out for third were Draven Wright, Koleby MccLintick, Jagger Vestal, Drayton Harris and Ariel Harris.

The fourth place winners, after having fought hard, were Andon Allen and Jarod Rains.

Besides the medals, Gallatin USA Youth club also won 12 matches by decision of a pin.

Coach Jesse Gray said he was very pleased with the club’s performance and was glad to see all the wrestlers get lots of mat time.

On Jan. 16 the club will travel to Trenton to compete.
