Dates have been set for Gallatin’s annual wrestling mini camp and tournament for kids at Covel D. Searcy Elementary School.

Wrestlers will learn basic fundamental wrestling and will be pooled together by age, weight and ability for the tournament. There is no cost to participate.
Following is a schedule for peewee practices on Jan. 6, 7, 13 and 14: kindergarten through second grade, 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. in the gym; third grade through sixth grade, 4:30 to 5:45 in the gym.
For practice, participants are to wear shorts or sweats (no jeans or street clothes), t-shirt and clean gym shoes or sock feet. Kids are to be dropped off and picked up on time.
The wrestling tournament is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 15, with a tentative starting time of 5:30 p.m. Kids will wrestle two or three times that night.
