Ashley Cameron, a senior at Pattonsburg R-2, has been selected for the 2010 American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City on June 26, 2010.
The honor of participation in the Honors Band is limited to the highest-rated high school performers identified in the U.S. and Canada.
During this five-day program, Ashley will have several days of rehearsal under the direction of the renowned music conductor H. Robert Reynolds, along with attending a Juilliard Seminar. The Honors Band will receive special recognition on the CBS Early Show, along with a back stage tour.
The program also allows Ashley and her family to tour the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Top of the Rock, Lincoln Center, Ground Zero, and see a Broadway show. Ashley will perform at Carnegie Hall Saturday evening.
Ashley is the daughter of Charles and Belinda Cameron and the granddaughter of Max and Beverly Berry of Gallatin and Paula and Doris Cameron of Pattonsburg.
