O. Wayne Plowman, 88, Cameron, (formerly of Daviess County, Mo.) died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 at the Missouri State Veteran’s Home, Cameron, Mo.
He was born Oct. 12, 1921 in Pattonsburg, Mo., the son of Jesse H. and Mary E. (Caraway) Plowman.
On Jan. 22, 1942, he married Pauline Russell in Gallatin, Mo. She survives at the home.
Wayne served with the Army during World War II. He was a farmer all of his life in Daviess County. Wayne was a member of VFW Post #8824 of Pattonsburg and the First Christian Church of Gallatin, Mo.
Survivors in addition to his wife are sons, Paul (Janie) Plowman, Weatherby, Mo. and Donald (Sue) Plowman, Sedalia, Mo.; grandchildren, Mike Plowman, David Plowman, Lesa Anderson and Chelley Plowman; great-grandchildren, Cassie Plowman, Savoy Roberts, Derrick Plowman, Sierra Roberts, Kate Plowman and Emme Plowman; and great-great-grandson, Cavaughn Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lawrence Plowman and sister, Mildred Updegraff.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the First Christian Church, Gallatin. Burial with military rites in McFall Cemetery, McFall, Mo..The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, Mo. where friends may call after 4 p.m. on Thursday.
