Celebration of Life for Sharon Purdy was held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah. Interment was at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kan. The family suggests memorials to the Arthritis Foundation.

Sharon Kay (Burke) Purdy, 63, Savannah, died on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, in her home.
Mrs. Purdy was born Oct. 26, 1946, in Bethany, to Charles and Juanita (Gardner) Burke.
She married David Purdy on July 1, 1985, at St. Joseph. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2009.
Mrs. Purdy worked as a secretary at Snorkel International, Inc.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Charles Burke; brother, Robert Burke; sister, Shirley Sprague.
Survivors include one son, Mike Day, Savannah; mother, Juanita Burke, Gallatin; three brothers, Junior Burke, Gallatin, Paul Burke, Hamilton, and Larry Burke, Kansas City; one sister, Nancy Talley, Platte City.
