Department of Economic Development Richard Mooney reported that Pattonsburg is still in the running for the development project that was discussed at last month’s meeting.
He said Pattonsburg is also being looked at by a much smaller company, which would manufacture similar types of products. This company already has established a strong manufacturing base and is seeking a more centralized location from which they can expand their current operations. If this particular company chooses Pattonsburg, it also plans to add some amenities to the community that are currently only available in major metropolitan areas.
The board entered into executive session.
