Georgia Olive Owings, 96, formerly of Gallatin, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake St. Louis.
Memorial services for Mrs. Owings, Augusta, Mo., will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Inurnment will be at the Ridgeway Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Gallatin.
Daughter of the late Earl and Fanny Wolcutt (nee: Miller), she was born on Aug. 22, 1913, at Ridgeway.
She was married to the late Carl Robert Owings on July 31, 1932, in Unionville and moved to Gallatin in 1937.
Georgia was the Owner of the Owings Mill and Produce store in Gallatin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Owings, and a daughter, Grace Owings (Pollard).
Survivors include one sister, Erma Jean Claycomb; one brother, Floyd Nible; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
