Crystal Rogers, 20, Altamont, was moderately injured in an accident at about 11:50 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, in Clinton County.

Miss Rogers was northbound on Rt. K when she came into a downhill curve that was one-tenth mile south of Y and 300 feet south of Stewartsville. The 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling too fast for the curve in the roadway. Miss Rogers ran off the right side of the roadway. She overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide across the roadway and off the west side of the road, striking the ditch and overturning one and a half times, coming to rest on its roof.

Miss Rogers, who was not wearing her seat belt, was ejected. She was taken by DeKalb/Clinton Ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center.

The vehicle was totaled.

The accident was assisted by Trp. T.N. Garton, assisted by Tpr. J.M. Cross and Stewartsville Fire.

At about 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, Billie Waltiere, 38, Albany, received minor injuries in an accident three miles east of McFall in Daviess County.

Mr. Waltiere was westbound on Rt. T. He went off the north side of the roadway and overturned one time. The 1998 Pontiac came to rest on the driver’s side, facing east off the north side of the roadway.

Mr. Walitere was taken by NTA Ambulance to Northwest Medical Center in Albany. He was not wearing his seat belt.

The Pontiac was totaled.

The accident was investigated by Cpl. L.M. Newman, assisted by trp. J.D. Peabody.

Matthew Burton, 31, Pattonsburg, received minor injuries and Matthew Taul, 26, Cameron, received serious injuries in an accident that happened at around 6:45 a.m. in Harrison County.

Mr. Taul was northbound on I-35. Nine miles south of Bethany, he lost control of his 1997 Ford pickup and went off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle rolled, ejecting Mr. Taul. The vehicle continued rolling, crossing the southbound lanes, and came to rest off the west side of the roadway on its top.

Mr. Burton and Mr. Taul were taken by NTA Ambulance to Harrison County Hospital.

The pickup was totaled.
