Jason Mercer, water plant operator, discussed issues regarding the city’s current water plant and immediate changes he would like to make during the regular meeting of the Gallatin Board of Aldermen held Nov. 9, at city hall.
Police Chief Mark Richards reported on activity from Oct. 26 to Nov. 9 with the following reports taken/tickets given: one burglary; three accidents; one illegal burning; one custody dispute; three warrant arrests; three speeding. There are five dogs in the pound.
Chief Richards stated that the police are participating in Toys for Tots program in Gallatin this year. Also, the police department will be participating in a safety belt enforcement program through Nov. 18.
Bills in the amount of $123,869.10 were approved for payment.
