Olen and Virginia (Stratton) Salmon of Bethany, formerly of McFall, will be celebrating a belated 70th wedding anniversary on Nov. 8. A reception in their honor will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Pattonsburg Senior Center on that date. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend.
Olen and Virginia were married on Sept. 2, 1939, at the McFall Methodist Church. They were the first couple to be married there. Olen and Virginia have lived in the McFall area most of their lives. They were partners in farming for over 50 years. Olen was also a distributor for Northrop Seed Co., and Virginia worked at the Gentry County Hospital in Albany.
They are the parents of two children, Linda of Nixa, and Gary (Nancy) of Gallatin. They also have two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Stephanie (Clint) Cole and sons, Wes and Gabe, and Will (Natalie) Salmon and daughters, Kailey, Karley and Kallie, all of Gallatin.
The Salmons enjoy their family get-togethers, playing cards at the senior center, visiting friends, church activities, and visiting Branson occasionally. They have been blessed with good health, and so they remain active and involved in all that they do.
Please come and help them celebrate this momentous occasion.
