Hello.
We would like to start by telling everyone about the next two week’s events. Thursday we will be setting up a booth at Access II for their Disability Awareness Day and also serving popcorn. Thursday is also our resident’s monthly birthday party at 2 p.m. Gallatin Baptist Church will host the party.
Friday we are having a Boston cream pie social at 10 a.m.
Tuesday we will be going to Papa Charlie’s pumpkin patch, then carve pumpkins that afternoon, after resting from the hay ride.
The dessert contest is at 2 p.m. on Oct. 28. Everyone welcome. If it is like the chili cook off we had earlier, it will be hard to decide the winner.
Oct. 30 is our resident’s Halloween party. Please don’t forget to bring the kids to the home for the residents to give candy to on Oct. 31.
We are saddened by the loss of two of our residents. Vivian McAtee passed away on Oct. 16, and Glen Morgan passed away on Oct. 17. They will be greatly missed by all of us.
Howard Stevenson visited.
Marge McAfee visited Eula Osborn and Mae Baker.
Members from the First Baptist Church visited.
Marjorie Emerson visited Bea Kromeick.
Edith McLung visited Nina Pittsenbarger.
We would like to welcome three new residents, Mildred Cox, Edwin Tobin and Betty Tingler.
If you haven’t been out to see us, come on out. There is always something going on and the coffeepot is always on.
