The 30-year class reunion for the GHS Graduating classes of 1978, 1979 and 1980 was organized by Sandra (Critten) Logan, Gina (Osborn) Muzzy, and Kelvina (Stith) Hobbs, pictured left to right.

The reunion festivities kicked off with classmates gathering on the square for the Homecoming Parade. That evening, classmates donned red and black attire and gathered to cheer the Bulldogs on to victory over the Albany Warriors.

On Saturday, Kathy Robertson led classmates on a tour of the high school building where the former classrooms of teachers Keith Groom, Paul Worley and Barbara Foley were searched out along with the office of Principal Jim McCarty. After lunch, tours were organized at the squirrel-cage jail and the courthouse clock-tower. Some went to Jamesport to visit Amish country while others shopped for shoes at Foster’s. That evening, 73 classmates and guests gathered at Cycles for dinner followed by a lively program loaded with funny stories, nicknames, awards and memorabilia.

Following Cycles, classmates went to hear live music at Southside from "Dammit Jim," the band of 1978 classmate Mark Gay. Randy Bashford summarized the entire weekend later via email by stating: "I’m glad I grew up in a small town. It really was like a family back then." The classmates agreed to reunite together again in five years.
